Our Mission
Them is the award-winning authority on what it means to be LGBTQ+ today — and tomorrow. From in-depth storytelling on the fight for LGBTQ+ rights to intimate profiles of queer cultural vanguards, we're a platform for all of the bold and rebellious ways that LGBTQ+ people are reshaping our world every day.
Who We Are
Them is powered by a diverse team of journalists, editors, artists, and creatives. Each of us brings a distinct perspective to the LGBTQ+ stories we tell, and our efforts are strengthened by the wide range of backgrounds and abilities that drive our work. With decades of journalism and artistic experience on staff, we aim to produce the most nuanced, carefully reported, and entertaining LGBTQ+ journalism and content available today.

Editorial Standards and Practices
The editorial staff of Them works to ensure the accuracy and integrity of everything we publish. We carefully report, edit, and fact check every story we produce. We aim to include authoritative expert opinions and a broad range of perspectives in our reported content in addition to citing well-established journalistic, medical, academic, and other sources. We periodically update published stories to ensure they present the most up-to-date information available.
How Them Earns Revenue
Our goal is to provide our readers with a new standard of LGBTQ+ journalism. To fund our efforts, Them runs advertisements and occasionally partners with advertisers to produce sponsored content, videos, events, and other collaborations. Them also earns affiliate revenue through products seen on our website and other platforms, frequently via products that our writers and editors have personally used and love.
