Fans are sharing their support for Arca following a vulnerable Instagram post.
Yesterday, the trans musician and record producer took to Instagram to share artful selfies of herself submerged in water. “Some days, I feel like a freak,” Arca captioned the post. “I want to forgive myself for having these feelings. But doesn’t everyone sometimes imagine the peacefulness of it all ending?”
It wasn’t long before her followers filled the comments section with heartfelt responses of their own.
“This is exactly how I’ve been feeling lately,” one fan wrote. “We just have to keep telling ourselves we are beautiful radically, not freaks but rare flowers of nature. 🖤”

Fellow musician Kelsey Lu also chimed in, commenting, “Reaching into that place that haunts, where those whispers lurk in crevices ringing tunes of dissent and defeat, humming against them to pull you back into a meadow of remembering that you are so loved and needed and hugging you so so so tightly 🫂💞💞🫂.”
“You don’t know how many people you have inspired to write their own ‘code’ for being in this world,” another Instagram user wrote. “You are just so beautiful. Why wouldn’t you want to be beautifully strange? Don’t ever feel pressured by others’ scripts.”
One commenter told Arca that she “saved my life in so many ways and help me to discover myself.”
“You inspire me everyday, you are my reference and I will be forever thankful for your art, your music, EVERYTHING. You have a beautiful soul and you are so unique and special, and you deserve all the good things. We love you 💕.”

These supportive comments didn’t go unnoticed. Today, Arca shared a follow-up Instagram video expressing her own appreciation for her fans’ show of support.
“I was just reading the comments on my last post, and I just wanted to say thank you,” she said, tears in her eyes.
Although Arca previously gained recognition for working with prominent musicians like Kanye West, FKA Twigs, Frank Ocean, Kelela, and The Weeknd, she went on to make a name for herself through her own experimental, electronic pop. Most recently, Arca opened for Beyoncé during a June 2023 Barcelona stop on her Renaissance Tour and performed at Oslo’s August Øya music festival.
