Pop star Billie Eilish endorsed Kamala Harris for president on Tuesday, becoming the latest main pop girl to weigh in on the 2024 election.

The “Lunch” singer posted a short video of herself and Finneas O’Connell, her brother and longtime creative collaborator, to social media in recognition of National Voter Registration Day. “We are voting for Harris-Walz,” the siblings announced, marking their first official endorsement of Harris and her running mate, Minnesota governor Tim Walz. In the video, Finneas first urged viewers to check their voter registration status at IWillVote.com, and to vote early.

Eilish then made a full-throated endorsement on both her and her brother’s behalf. “We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our democracy,” she said.

O’Connell continued, saying, “We can’t let extremists control our lives, our freedoms, and our future,” and adding that “the only way” to stop those extremists and “the dangerous Project 2025 agenda” is by electing Harris as president.

Though presidential candidate Donald Trump has denied any involvement with Project 2025, his actual policy proposals are strikingly similar to the proposals outlined in the infamous document, which amounts to a right-wing roadmap for total government control. Published by the longtime anti-LGBTQ+ group the Heritage Foundation, Project 2025 poses a particular threat to queer and trans rights, with promises to ban trans women and girls from school sports, ban gender-affirming care for minors, and much more.

“Vote like your life depends on it, because it does,” Eilish said, before closing the video with a quick “Love you, guys.”

Eilish’s endorsement comes shortly after Taylor Swift posted to Instagram to voice her support for Harris, specifically citing Walz’s record on LGBTQ+ rights as one of the reasons for supporting him. And the Midwest Princess herself recently made an oblique statement that seems to be her own Harris-Walz endorsement. In a recent Rolling Stone cover story, Chappell Roan said “Right now, it’s more important than ever to use your vote, and I will do whatever it takes to protect people’s civil rights, especially the LGBTQ+ community. My ethics and values will always align with that, and that hasn’t changed with a different nominee.”
