Despite the seemingly never-ending influx of new celebrity makeup brands, Harry Styles has somehow managed to make sure that his own, Pleasing, is different from the rest. Since launching in November last year, Pleasing has released three micro-collections, Perfect Pearl in November 2021, Shroom Bloom in March 2022 and Hot Holiday in June 2022, all of which caused mass hysteria for their unique packaging and experimental shades and textures.

Now? Harry's fourth collection, Pleasing x Marco Ribeiro, launched 29 September, might just be our favourite.  For the singer's first collaboration, Harry worked with Brazilian-born, Paris-based fashion designer, Marco Ribeiro. It's also Harry's first time launching makeup. And, in true Harry style, it's not your average offering. Instead of prescriptive eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks and blushers, the new collection offers flexible, convertible colors to apply as you want and make your own.

The limited-edition collaboration consists of the Pressed Powder Pigments, a palette of eight powder shades in wet-to-dry formulas that can be mixed and blended into infinite combinations.

There's three tubes of Universal Cream Pigment in fresh blue, bright yellow and vibrant pink, designed to be worn alone or mixed together and applied across lips, face and body.

The Gloss Medium is a high-shine lacquer that can be used as a top coat, mixed into formulas or applied alone to create dewiness.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Pleasing collection without nail polish, so Harry and Marco have introduced the Pleasing X Marco Ribeiro set, a line-up of four biodegradable shades: Aura Laranja Gelatina, a neon orange jelly polish; Oceano Água-Marinha Cremoso, a glossy aquamarine cream polish; Cítrico Vibrante Cremoso, a vibrant green matte polish and Borgonha Açaí Cremoso, a glossy burgundy cream polish. There's also seven sheets of nail decals and stickers in geometric shapes to upgrade and personalise your mani.

Last, Harry's released two Pleasing hoodies, one in chocolate brown, one in electric pink.

“Continuing our mission to bring together joyful experiences and stimulating products, this collaboration focuses on intense pigments and offers Pleasing’s first foray into make-up,” a post on Pleasing's Instagram account introducing the latest drop read. “Encapsulated across the entire Pleasing x Marco Ribeiro collection are shared touch-points of creativity that align Ribeiro’s colorful vision with that of our own.”

“Under Ribeiro’s lead, the shades and tones in the Pleasing x Marco Ribeiro collection take an expressive turn to act as a call to arms for creativity and experimentation. Much of the collection’s offering is universal, encouraging freedom in expression, through the ability to play and meld hues,” another Instagram post continued. “For me, colors say so much—it’s like a language,” Ribeiro said.
