No matter the theme, LGBTQ+ stars always shine brightest at the Met Gala. This year’s event was no exception, with Colman Domingo continuing one of the most impressive streaks of red-carpet fashion in recent memory, wearing a custom Willy Chavarria suit inspired by the late André Leon Talley. The assignment for this year’s glitzy charity function, titled after the J.G. Ballard short story “The Garden of Time,” inspired plenty of floral touches, from the pattern of Dan Levy’s suit pants, which bled seamlessly into the lower quarter of his jacket, to the blossoms in Cole Escola’s quirky dog-shaped wicker bag. Of course, queer favorites impressed as well, with celebrities like Bad Bunny and Zendaya proving that keeping the LGBTQ+ community close is always a good idea when it comes to ensuring you remain stylish and well-dressed.
